Since November 25, Leslie Hoorelbeke, 22, Kévin Trompat, 21, and their dog have not been found. They were last seen at a party with friends near Niort (Deux-Sèvres). A call for witnesses was launched on December 7 after the discovery of the young man’s identity papers. But what happened to them? A new hunt was organized on January 14 in Fouras, in Charente-Maritime. However, as revealed by The New Republic, the organization of it leaves something to be desired. It all started at 10:30 a.m. in front of the church in Fouras. If many people were expected, only about twenty were present and among them there were many journalists. Seeing no organizer arrive, some preferred to leave. According to the media, it was Kevin’s father who was behind this fight. However, as he was in prison, one of his friends took over but Cédric arrived on site very late. While the search was able to begin, everyone went to the tip of La Fumée before finally heading to the other side of the town of Fouras, towards the marshes of Soumard. A lack of organization that has been highlighted and the search failed to find the slightest clue explaining what happened to Leslie Hoorelbeke and Kévin Trompat.
